Return of the Fancy Dress Parade
The Fancy Dress Parade will return this Festival Day as part of the programme of events being put in place by the Festival Committee.
We have received lots of requests for this event to return as part of the Festival Day celebrations so the hope is that folks will support this event by taking part. Here are some outline details:
•When – Friday 12th July
•Where – muster Murray’s Green, floats/wheeled entries in the Abbey Bridge End Road
•Time – judging at 5pm. Parade will move off at 5.30pm
•Categories will be – entry free
•Pre school
•Primary
•Secondary
•Adults
•Groups – mixed ages with no restriction on the numbers in a group
Awards will be rosettes 1st – 3rd in each category with the Bill Butler Memorial Trophy being awarded to the “Best in Parade”.
All entrants will receive 2024 commemorative ribbon with the
2024 Callant giving out sweets and lollies to all.
Jedburgh Instrumental Band will lead the parade with the Jedburgh Pipe Band bringing up the rear.
